Edit Item
You can edit existing catalog items directly through the Merchant Portal UI. This provides a user-friendly interface for updating product information in your Just Walk Out store catalog without needing to use Excel templates or API calls.
Edit Item via Merchant Portal
Use the Merchant Portal interface to modify existing catalog items with updated product information.
Editable Fields

| Scannable Barcode | Standard barcode value |
| Scannable Barcode Type | Type of barcode (UPC, EAN, EAN8, ISBN, GTIN, PLU) |
| Product Name | Short title for the product |
| Product Brand | Product brand name |
| Product Tax Class | Amazon standard tax classification |
| Price | Regular price for the product |
Process
- Navigate to the Catalog Management section in the Merchant Portal
- Search for the item you want to edit
- Click the edit or pencil icon next to the item
- Update the fields you want to change
- Review the item details for accuracy
- Submit the changes
Important Notes
- Items updated through the UI follow the same validation rules as Excel and API methods
- Updated items will reflect changes once processing is complete
- You can edit multiple items by repeating the process but for editing multiple items at a time, we recommend using the Excel template for faster processing
